Halloween Fun...

This was Mo's first time carving a pumpkin. Gee. I guess artists don't have any problems being creative when they are doing some thing for the first time.

Zuki did NOT enjoy pulling the stuff out of the pumpkin. I wish we had taken video of this because she was making gagging noises every time she pulled some out. I was cracking up!

Mo and Zuki ready to go trick or treating!

Zuki was totally freaked out by this witch. It was making a humming noise and she was trying to get away from it as fast as she could.

Yay! Gettin' some candy!

Here is Ella and Zuki. Best friends. We had such a good time. Thanks Galicias!

Here is Zuki doing her silly posing.

What a fun evening. Now, do you think she'll notice if all her candy mysteriously disappears into the trash can?

August trip to Cali

We went to a place called "Fairy Tale Town" with Gramama and Papa. It's right across the street from the Sacramento Zoo. Here is Zuki on the giant's foot.

This is the Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe. The kids climb up the back, and slide down the front.

Here she is in the crooked little man's crooked little house, located at the end of the crooked mile.

Sitting in the Cheese Stands Alone.

Cinderella's Pumpkin Carriage.
They also had Little Bo Peep's sheep, and the three little pigs with their houses, and the three blind mice, owl's house, Eeyore, Jack and Jill's Hill, they even had a mini Sherwood Forest. It was really cool, and I highly recommend it for anyone who has little kids, if you are ever passing through Sacramento. It's very inexpensive, too.

Here is Zuki sitting at the little table at Gramama's house, during one of the many tea parties.

Mo and I went to Six Flags with Michael and Hayden, and it was Mo's first time at a theme park. He compared being on a roller coaster to "death". He was a trooper and went on all the rides, though. He even went on the "Medusa" 3 times! Go Mo! (I did every ride at least once, besides the V2. I didn't do that one. No way, man.)

New Bag of Flour!

So, all I have to say is: I totally didn't want to spend my morning cleaning this up. It was all the way in the living room, too.

Announcement

I'm finally pregnant! We've been trying for over a year and a half, and now it's finally happened! The new baby is due May 10, which is just a couple of weeks after Mo graduates with his Bachelors degree in Broadcasting. We are so excited! Don't know where we'll end up, but we know we are being guided on our path, and we are excited to see where He takes us.

This is my friend, Amy, and me on her sealing day. YAY AMY!

Zuki likes to play with measuring cups in the sink, and it keeps her busy, but we forgot to check on her, and she got really quiet, so we go over, and she had figured out how to plug the sink with a measuring cup, and the sink was about to flow over on the floor! So glad we got there in time. Can you see how wet her clothes are?

Mo resdesigned a diaper box for one of his projects, and he used Zuki as his subject. Isn't she cute? America's Next Top Model?

And here is Zuki again after I did "dread locks". They are really just chunks of twisted hair. They are fairly easy to comb out. This picture was taken back in May.

More this and thats

Mo's little soccer player.

These are dolls given to Zuki for Christmas by Anna, my talented big sister. (to check out more stuff go to the Minelolly link in the right margin of my blog.) The pink one is "Abducted Twice" and the monster is "Eye Wide Open". Zuki calls them "Twice" and "Monster", respectively.

These guys couldn't quite make it all the way through the fifth session of conference.

This is a salt shaker that Zuki is cuddling. She wanted me to wrap it up in a "blankie" so I got a baby wash rag and wrapped it up for her. She babied it all day.

Look what I found one day. Holy cow.

This and thats

My silly goose.

It's basketball season, and Zuki loves to sit with the boys yelling, "go...Go MO!"

Dress up like an Africa Mama.

Dress up like...not mommy...

Don't you love after church naps? Soooo nice.

Hairdo's

Here are some hairdo's I have tried this year so far. No, she does not sit still while I do it. She usually screams, and tells me to "Be gentle, Mommy", and throws up occasionally, and I really hope my neighbors don't think I am torturing her on purpose. I guess she will learn at an early age that beauty is pain, even though she is beautiful even when she has a lopsided fro going on.
I have done braids, but those looked really funny because I can't braid very well with my middle finger being chopped off and everything. What a problem that has become. I think I will try to teach myself to use my ring finger instead. I had to do that in order to make snapping with my left hand audible.

Here is a project I started last january and finished this january (my mom did all the quilting). My next quilt is a king size for our bed, the top is finished, I just have to get the batting and put it together and quilt it. It's going to look really nice.

The "princess chair" that MUST be built every time the legos come out.

I guess washable crayons make good makeup?

Muir Woods

We went to the Muir Woods over Christmas. These are the tallest trees. Zuki had fun until the stroller became umcomfortable, then rode on Papa's shoulders until she fell asleep. Someone had to help my dad get her down.

I loved the colors in the woods. It was during the winter, so there weren't any flowers, but it was very green and had all kinds of fungi.

Here is Zuki and her Daddy enjoying each other's company.

These twisted roots were interesting to look at.

Here is my favorite shot of the day. I am not a photographer, but I think this one turned out really well.

Bad Breath?

We were at Fentons, waiting for our ice cream, and my mom started doing this with Zuki. Her reaction was so funny!

Zuki Christmas

New pj's from grandmama and papa, and hair pieces, "fascinators" made by Anna. (for more fascinators see Anna's blog, or her store).

The universal mascot of Toddlers; Elmo.

Trying out her new stroller on her "Abducted Twice" doll, also made by Anna. I personally like that it is black. (For more dolls, see Anna's blog, or her store).

Examining "Abducted Twice"

I think she got the idea that once you tear off the paper and open the box, something cool is inside.
