Fun stuff

Malaika's First Sunday
The dress is from LaChere Vawdrey.
Anna made the headband...isn't it CUTE?! I am going to use it for her blessing day.

I love the smirk on Malaika's face.

I had a dentist appointment that went longer than I thought, so Mo and Zuki fed the baby for me...
They are really bonding well.  LOVE it!

Zuki wanted to play with her old car seat, so we took it out and let her, and next thing I know, she's got a pile of books and stayed there for 30 minutes reading...

So, the good thing about all this crazy weather is the occasional rainbow.  There is something magical about those things.

Lava Hot Springs

We went to Lava Hot Springs on Monday with our family friends, the Vawdreys.  Thanks for the great time!!
These hot springs are so cool!  I mean HOT!  They've cemented them into hot tubs!  There were about five different springs, and each of them have a different temperature, but no matter which one you get in, you come out PINK!  They put these canopies over them so that you can still get in while it is raining, or snowing!  Randy told us that if you come in the winter, all the cement and handrails are iced over, and all you can see of the pools is the steam.  He said that when you get in them, you can't even see each other through the steam! Awesome!!!

This is Randy. He is so crazy!!

The jets are not jets, but the actual spring water coming up!

This is Mallory, and Zuki attached herself to her the whole time we were there, and was sad when she had to go to school the next day.

Of course, I couldn't get in with a three week old baby, so, I bundled up in Randy's sweatshirt, Mo's coat, and zipped her up inside.  We were pretty warm, but it was freezing!!! I really wanted to get in that water!!

When we got home the next day, both girls were having complete meltdowns, and had to share my lap.  We were all overly tired.

The necklace in Zuki's hair is her "Rapunzel" hair.  Too cute!

Duckies!

We went to go feed the ducks at Nature Park.  They weren't very hungry, and I'm guessing it was because there were tons of people there feeding them.  We still had fun, though.

I love this picture.  She is so cute holding on to her Daddy's pocket.

Expressive Malaika

Can you pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time?

So, I had to put this picture in here.  Zuki loves to play this Sonic video game (I only let her do it when I need to keep her awake...maybe twice a week.) Anyway, obviously this time it didn't work. Probably have to hide the game, and find a new method.

Sisters!

Mo and I set up this little photo shoot for the girls.  We will be getting some professional ones done soon.  But here are some of the cute ones I liked from this batch.  Zuki is wearing an outfit from Aunt Sally, and flowers in her hair made by Aunt Sally.  Zuki loves them!

I said, "Zuki, please don't put your finger in her mouth..."  i just got that classic Zuki look that says, "I don't speak english".

 Charlie Bit Me!
My girls are sooo cute, and I am loving being their mother! I feel like I've been waiting forever to have our second one, and she's FINALLY here! I just love it.

Easter a week later

Since we "missed" Easter Sunday, we dressed Zuki in her Easter dress yesterday.  This dress was given to us by my mom's friend, Sherry. Thank you, Sherry, for everything!
She called it her "princess" dress, and we couldn't get her to take it off all day!

Zuki made this "hospital bed" in her tub of toys and fell asleep. It was a pretty nice break for me, until she wouldn't go to bed until 10 that night.

Here are some cuties of Malaika.

Daddy playing with his two girls.

Zuki is doing a great job learning to be gentle.

This is a project I finished back in February.  I designed it and pieced it together in February and March of last year, let it sit in my closet until christmas, and hand quilted it from Christmas until Valentines Day this year, finishing just in time as a V-Day present for Mo.
This is the stitch I used, and I love it!  It turned out way better than I had in my mind.

Zuki has been obsessed with Rapunzel ever since we took her to see "Tangled" at the Paramount Five, and loves to play with my hair saying, "Rapunzel, let down your hair!"
I have to apologize for this picture.  I keep trying to rotate it, and am successful, but for some reason, it keeps coming up this way in Blogger.  Weird.
